Telemedicine

Though social distancing protocols have changed, we understand that some clients will still want to utilize our curbside only or telemedicine options. And, we are happy to accommodate! If you wish to remain curbside, simply let a staff member know while you are making your appointment and we will check your pet in and complete the appointment as we have been.

However, if you need to make your pet an appointment and you are currently ill or are simply having a difficult time finding availability during our regular office hours then please contact us so we can discuss telemedicine options. Telemedicine is available for any patient that has an established VCPR (Veterinary Client-Patient Relationship) with our hospital. That means we have seen your pet in-person in the last 6 to 12 months, dependent on the issue the pet is currently experiencing.

A telemedicine appointment may be conducted via video call, text/email with photos, or over the phone. Your pet’s issue will determine if the appointment needs to be seen in-person or if telemedicine is appropriate. Severe illness will still need to be evaluated in-person due to diagnostic needs and treatments. However, chronic issues that only require medications to be sent home and that we have been treating regularly, may be eligible for telemedicine consults.

As always, please contact us with any questions you may have. Our staff is happy to help you determine if a telemedicine appointment may be appropriate for your pet. We want to get them the care that they both need and deserve.
